Santa Stache excitement!

Excited!  Some of my team are coming today and am looking forward to meeting Sally for the first time in person!  That's why I've delayed sharing my swaps I made for the our quarterly meeting until today!

From the first time I met my hubby, he sported a mustache.  It would be mega wierd if he shaved it off! That's why I couldn't resist the mustache die, nor the stamp set!

I followed the lines on the mustache with a two-way glue pen and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds and used the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details as a quick easy fix to add the "jewels" in his crown. You can step up the card by adding rhinestones or pearls instead.

Paper piecing technique used for the crown - stamped the crown in Memento Black on Coastal Cabana cardstock and fussy cut before adhering to corresponding image.

Here are the supplies I used.

Fun Fold White Christmas

This side step card was one of the first techniques I ever taught.  It was just perfect for using with these two stamp sets.  It's slightly longer than the normal video as there are so many fun elements from masking, embossing and colouring with Blendabilities.

Which do you prefer?  The Cherry Cobbler or Lost Lagoon?

Oh my Goodies & a lot more!

Oh my!  I think I got a bit carried away with the card I made for hubby's birthday recently!  You can see there are no frills or ribbon on this card!

Only someone near and dear would get away with saying it's his Umpteenth birthday!  I added a Cajun Craze mat layer on a Marina Mist card base.  I love the abstract "For All Things" watercolour background and the autumnal look to this card.  On the Whisper White layer, I scored round the edges to add a bit of interest.  The Deco Framelits coordinate with "Oh My Goodies", I used the smallest die to cut one in Crumb cake and fussy cut the stamped Marina Mist on Whisper White layer which I adhered to the Crumb Cake layer with dimensionals.

I kept the inside simple.  As he's into his cycling, I just had to include that bike!  This is from "Life's Adventure" which is a Hostess set and I just stamped tone on tone.

At the time of writing, he hasn't seen it yet, but I am hoping that he'll like it!

Happy crafting!

Winter Window loveliness!

I wanted to create a window through which you could see the lovely Ornamental Pine stamp and it couldn't be easier with the squares collection framelits - I used the smallest square framelit and cut four apertures. It's easy to align the die to get this 4 pane effect especially when using the magnetic platform.

It's difficult to see in the photo.  I used the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to create an imaginary thread from which to "hang" the ornaments.

I love the detail on the fir cone.  This single Whisper  layer can be stamped on directly and  economical to post as well as fairly quick to make - perfect for making in bulk.

Hope you like it!
