Sneak Peek!!!

Woo hoo!  We've had the Envelop Punch Board,  followed by the Gift Box Punch Board, so can you guess what's coming in the new catty?  Only 2 more sleeps and the catty goes live!!!!  Yes, you can order from the  new catty on 2 June!

Card club is the first Tuesday evening of each month, so I have some happy ladies who will be receiving their copy on the night!  If you live in or near Fleet, why not join us?  Email me, elaine.harding@googlemail.com for more details.  Space is limited, so first come - first served!

We made this at my team training on Wednesday.  How many new items can you spot?  Need a clue or two?
  • New ribbon
  • 2 new inks
  • New 2-step Hostess stamp set
  • 2 new tools
  • New cardstock
Lol!  Easier to name the current items - Butterfly thinlits, Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock......

So if you guessed 7, then you are correct!  I can't list them right now, you're going to have to wait until 2 June!

103 Little Sunshine Fun Fold Card

Golly gosh!  I can hardly believe the Stampin' Up! catalogue year is in its final week!  So I chose this stamp set as it will be carrying over into the new catalogue and it's called "Little Sunshine".

The new catty goes live on June 2nd!  It's been brought forward so that it can be aligned globally with all Stampin' Up! markets, here in Europe, in the States, Canada, Australia and Japan!    So watch this space for news of forthcoming events. Join me in an event to get your copy and take advantage of my one off special deals!

In the mean time, enjoy this fun fold Little Sunshine card video!

Don't forget this week's weekly deals!

Special posts from Special people!

I have a confession to make,  I haven't had much crafting time lately and have been away such alot, my cache of projects have been exhausted.  So  today I am sharing this lovely card that Val made for our Ruby Anniversary.

I

Another serendipity moment was when this arrived yesterday!  How delightful!

I couldn't make our Regional Training session in Telford this year,  and my Stampin' sister Rosie sent her swaps to me.  Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is Amazing! What other job gives you the opportunity to forge such friendships and generosity?

It made my day - THANK YOU Rosie and to Val, of course!

Lots of things happening behind the scenes which I can't share right now, but here's a sneak peek to whet your appetite!

Enjoy your Bank Holiday weekend!

102 From the Herd Card

My desktop has died, all my files on the hard drive cannot be retrieved.  Fortunately I back up all my pictures and videos on an external hard drive so it is nothing short of a miracle that I've managed to cobble this week's video together thanks to having the use of hubby's 27" monster.  So it's been a steep learning curve getting au fait with Windows 8.

Eek!  We are almost saying good-bye to the 2014-15 catty!  I haven't inked From the Herd yet, so squeezing it in just in the nick of time!  This set makes me giggle - puns on words like "pasture birthday"!  Enjoy!

Hope you like it!  Don't forget the weekly deals!

Blended Bloom meets Kinda Eclectic

Another card the club ladies made using the White Craft Ink water-colour Technique this time with Blended Bloom embossed in gold, and the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.

How good are you with your Stampin' Up! colours?  Can you identify what colour I used?

Which of these colours - Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, or Tangelo Twist do you think it could be?  If you picked Tangerine Tango, you'd be spot on!  Well done you!

It's been one of those weeks where our electrical appliances (our fridge/freezer had a hissy fit and completely defrosted while we were in Venice), and it seems it's my Desk Top's turn now.  The screen has gone completely black so am using alternate means to upload this post.

Here's the list of supplies I used - it's in a "carousel" format.  You can click on the image and it will take you directly to my online store should you wish to make a purchase.

Thanks for visiting - will be back next week with another video tutorial,  technology willing!

Happy Sunday!  stampin' hugs!

A Fun Fold Card

Did you leave a comment to enter my 100th video celebration prize draw?  You can find the post here  with all the details of how to enter.

In the meantime, here's a technique I taught at this month's card club.  For want of a better word I called it the White Craft Ink water-colour Technique. You stamp an outline image in versamark on Crumb Cake card stock then emboss it with white embossing powder.  Use an aqua-painter to wet the cardstock and dip its tip in Whisper White craft ink (drop a couple of drops of  Whisper White craft ink refill on your Whisper White Craft ink lid)  and colour wash your image.

Take a marker of your choice to co-ordinate with your card base and draw a line where you think the shadows should appear, then use aqua painter to blend to create this effect.  You can go back and add more colour with the marker pen, repeating process until you get the desired intensity of colour.

We also used the diagonal plate of the scoring tool to create this fun fold and added a label raised on dimensionals  so that the top could be tucked into it as a closure.

I used the Curly Label Punch which is on this year's retired list and it has now sold out so I couldn't include it in the table below.

Multiple images indicates that stamp set is available in wood, clearmount, photopolymer.  Hover over the bottom right of each image for more details or click to take you directly to the item in my online store.

Happy stampin' love

100th Video - Elaine's Craft Room Tour 2015 & Prizes!

Woo Hoo!!!!  My 100th Video!  So instead of a tutorial, I'm taking you on a tour of my Craft Room.   At the time this was filmed (back in January), I was poorly and had a croaky voice. Additions and edits were made more recently, so my apologies for the sound quality and the unsteady hand held camera shots.  I usually have the camera on a boom, so clearly hand held is not my forte!!!

I thought to celebrate, I would also give away some prizes!   Only UK Residents are eligiible.  You have 3 ways to enter the prize draw.
  1. Leave a comment on this post on my blog here
  2. Like and share on my Facebook page here
  3. Like and leave a comment on my youtube channel here

Only one comment per person is allowed, but you could triple your chance of winning by leaving a comment on my blog, liking and sharing on my Facebook page, as well as my youtube channel between 6 May and 12 May 2015.  Don't forget to private message me on Facebook or email me elaine.harding@googlemail.com with your contact details so that I will be able to get in touch with you if you win a prize!  The prize draw will take place on 13 May and I will announce the winners in the evening around 8.00 pm.

I've taken a break from my Mini Treat Bag series just for this week, but will be back next week for the fourth and final in this Series.

Another Thank You

Our Demonstrator Support Team are ace at sorting out our problems, and despite hiccups here and there, they are always on hand to help in the best of humour.  I have never had a cross word spoken no matter how snowed under they are, especially at peak times such as at every promotion or new catalogue launch. Demonstrators from around the world thought it was time we showed our appreciation of the work that they do and this is becoming a traditional annual event to honour our Demonstrator Support team and show them how much we appreciate them.

This was the card I made and sent to the Demo Support Office in Frankfurt - a BIG "thank you" !   I love the subtles palette.  Sadly those In-color sequins are being retired, but they do add a bit of pizzazz to the card and I'm thankful the Work of Art stamp set is sticking around for a bit!

I white embossed the vellum flowers from Petite Petals and punched them out, then used the subtle markers to colour on the back to give a stained glass effect - love how it turned out.

So here are the rest of the supplies I used:

Happy stampin' - love
