Which stamp set is this, you cry! Ahh.... it's not a stamp set though, can you guess what it is? Have you reached for your catty and frantically flicked through the pages to find it?
Hehe! I am guilty as with anyone else, (in my haste to look at the stamps), I forget about the supplies at the back of the catty! So this week's video is about the Happy Patterns decorative masks! Hope you like it.
It's Wednesday, so don't forget to look at those Weekly Deals. I have been reliably informed that the widget in my side bar on Weekly Deals will update around 2.00 a.m. local time.
Do you like my style? Did you ever wish that you lived closer so you could attend my class? Have you ever wished that you could get tons of ideas from a stamp set at a one stop shop - well look no further!
In response to your quest, I am beyond excited to be launching my Virtual Craft Studio. Distance need no longer to be a barrier for you to attend my classes in Fleet, Hampshire where I am based! Read more about it here.
This is an exclusive class for fee paying guests. They have access to private links on video tutorials and downloadable pdf files each month which will feature a stamp set or product in current Stampin' Up! catalogues. I would respectfully ask that you do not circulate, duplicate or share them publicly without my prior consent.
Here's a sneak peek at July's featured product - the Gift Bag punch board. This only shows two, so there are 8 more! Early birds get 2 bonus projects in pdf format only.
There are opportunities to upgrade a class with additional product which you can purchase through my online store and which will be shipped directly to you by Stampin' Up!
The fee for the class is £35 to include postage and packaging of which a minimum of £20 is invested into product included in your kit. You may substitute the stamp set or product if you already have it with products of your choice of equal value and which must not exceed £20. The supplies in your kit will, however, remain the same.
Registration is on the 1st of each month with payment in full to reach me by no later than the 7th of each month. Please email me firstname.lastname@example.org to register and I then furnish you with payment details.
Happy Father's Day to all the men folk out there who are Dads or Grand-dads or even Great Grand-dads and let's not forget the ones who are no longer with us but are still very much in our hearts and minds.
There's a little tale to this card - it started off as a Portrait oriented card, and as I had already pre-stamped the inside, I had to cover it up because the front worked better in landscape! Ooops! It just goes to show that you need to go with the flow - it might not have turned out as you planned, and when designs evolve, it is a happy accident!
Adding extra layers to cover up the mistakes and no-one's the wiser, except now I've let you into the secret, everyone knows! LOL!
Here's what I used, hover mouse on bottom right hand corner to see description or click to take you directly to the item in my online store. Multiple images in most instances depict stamp sets available in wood mount, clear mount or photopolymer.
Thanks for visiting - what are you doing today? My hubby has gone to archery as usual and we'll have a slap up meal when he comes home. The way to his heart is definitely through his stomach! He loves his food, but then............don't we all?
Father's Day is on June 21st here in the UK. So guess what this week's video is all about? Enjoy!
So pleased the Guy Greetings carried over into our Annual Catalogue for 2015-16. It fits the bill for all the men folk in your family - fathers, husbands, grandpas, brothers and uncles! The only one they left out was "son", but it's easy enough to make your own with the alphabet stamps or the letters thinlits dies.
Now I know that some of you may need convincing that the Bohemian Borders can be an eye-catcher. I fell in love with it straight away because I could see endless configurations using different colour combos and patterns. It reminds me of Turkish Killim rugs - antique ones can cost the earth!
I have moved the Weekly Deals to my side bar which will update around 2.00 am local time.
I know, I know. I say it every Sunday and am agog at how fast time flies and another week has gone by! Time NEVER stands still!
We began our weekend with yet another trip to IKEA - we practically live at the store! Hubs needed some CD units but sadly they were out of stock, even though he'd checked online and there were still 12 units left! I suppose on a Friday night, they must have sold out during the day. It's an hour's journey by car for us, so rather than it being a wasted trip, we got them in white - it was just as well, as the darker units would've stuck out like a sore thumb against the chimney flue as you enter the room.
An added bonus is that I have a new office chair, and it's making a difference in comfort from the old one. I also espied a table top ironing board for the princely sum of £4 so I had to snaffle it. This month I taught my club ladies a cool technique that required the use of a craft iron and my ironing board, now I won't need to use the household one for crafting!
I digress, I'm sure you'd rather I share a card! This is from Build a Birthday and I wanted to make it pop - so here's what I came up with.
The laser cut words add a bit of ooomph - a card you have to personally deliver because of the curvy tiers.
If you want to know how I made this, it'll be one of the future tutorials I've included for this stamp set from my soon to be launched Virtual Craft Room.
As promised, a video tute on the Gift Bag Punch Board. It's the new big thing in the Stampin' Up! world and it's not just for bags either!
I've done so many projects with this tool already and these will be available in my Virtual Craft Studio which will be launching in July. I plan to feature a Stampin' Up! product or stamp set each month and it will only be open to fee paying class attendees who will have access to downloadable pdf files and video tutorials on some of the projects.
In the mean time, here's a visual on how to use the Gift Bag Punch board! My Inaugural program from my Virtual Craft Studio will focus on this very punch board, but I don't want to spoil the surprise right now! Suffice to say, it's designed to give you inspiration and to think outside the box!
Determine the height of your bag between 4"- 12" tall and factor that in when you're cutting your cardstock or DSP to make the basic gift bags.
Here are the basic measurements:
Large bag : 12" for the width of the bag x your choice of height
Medium bag: 11" for the width of the bag x your choice of height
Small bag: 10" for the width of the bag x your choice of height
I have moved the Weekly Deals to my side bar, instead of being in the main body of the post.
This is an example of the Card Kit. You will have all the components to make 6 cards, 2 each of 3 designs which means you have one to send, and the other to keep as a reference or you could send them all.
It is against Stampin' Up! regulations to send pre-stamped images, so included in your pack will be Whisper White or Very Vanilla neutral card stock for you to stamp on.
The only criteria is that you must place a minimum £25 Online order with me and use the Hostess Code which I will email to you each month for 6 consecutive months from your join date which you must apply to your order and which must be submitted by the FIRST FRIDAY of the 6 months you are a member. A flat rate shipping charge is applicable for each order which is payable by you and Stampin' Up! will post it directly to your door via UPS. Your kit will be posted by me through Royal Mail.
If you've never shopped Online with me before this is what you do.
Create an account and make sure my name is in the top right hand corner. When you get to the bottom, you will see these 2 questions. It is really important you select YES to the 2nd question so that I can see you and your order. If you click NO, you become a "No Contact" order and I won't see your details to send you cards or goodies!
Start shopping - when you have finished shopping, check the total.
So this is where you enter the Hostess Code. Navigate to the "Shopping Bag" screen and enter the Hostess code in the box in the lower left hand corner and click "Apply".
Stampin' Up! partners with Ronald McDonald House Charities ® (RMHC) to bring comfort and creativity to the lives of RHMC house guests. Each year, thousands of families stay at independently operated RHMC houses all over the world. Recently a new one opened in Southampton. You can find out more about them here.
These houses serve as temporary homes for families of seriously ill children who are being treated in nearby hospitals - "a home away from home". Stampin' Up! makes an annual contribution to RMHC and every
year they design an exclusive stamp set in aid of this charity. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this stamp set will be donated to the organisation. This year's set is called Sprinkles of Life.
If you have a sick child and the chips are down, you cling on to hope, and one of the images is a "cloud" which can also be the topping of a cupcake! One of the sentiments "Every cloud has a silver lining - you just have to look up to see it".
I silver embossed the cloud, cut the binding off one side of the silver taffeta ribbon and shredded it then adhered it to the back of the cloud with dimensionals.
I've used the tree builder punch on both these cards. They are so different from each other. The card above is also from Sprinkles of Life.
This lists the materials used for Mint Macaron card only.
