Wedding Wishes!

One of my downlines got married at the end of August, and this is the card I made for her wedding day.  There's also a sneak peek of a new item from the Autumn/Winter catalogue which will be live on September 1st so to say I'm excited is an understatement!

The card base is made from our new thick Whisper White card stock.  It's barely visible, but the inside mat layer was embossed with the Lovely Lace TIEF.  I then cut the vellum layer the same size as the card base and attached it to the card base with the fabulous new silver cord from our Autumn/Winter catalogue.

All the stamped layers got the embossing buddy treatment and was silver embossed for a more elegant look.  I added a bit of bling with the sequins.

Please note that the Silver Cording Trim will not be available for purchase until September 1st.

I hope she liked it and wish her much joy and happiness in her married life.

Pop up Letters Technique

I set myself a challenge to use the items on last week's weekly deals and here is the result.  It's been over 3 weeks since I got anywhere near my craft room - once a crafter, always a crafter so I'm high on pain killers and my ankle joints are now the size of  elephant's legs at time of writing but hey, I got my fix!

The So Saffron and Calypso Coral were part 1 & 2 of the challenge I set myself and  ...

part 3 is the one below in the video.

Hope you like it.

Birthday Blossoms

Truth be known, I missed this stamp set completely until I saw some samples popping up on the worldwide web - and no wonder, it was right at the beginning of the 2015-16 catalogue on page 8.   Sometimes,  the things you miss, make the most lovely projects.

This card was lovingly made for my daughter's birthday earlier in the week - a bit of floral overload! I love this  set because it has a coordinating punch.  The smaller cluster of flowers were stamped on a scrap  of Whisper White card stock in Mint Macaron ink.  The leaves were stamped on Mint Macaron card stock and I fussy cut both the flower clusters and leaves so I could pop them on dimensionals for a 3D effect.

I had some left over pom pom trim from the All Boxed Up Kit, so I used the pom-pom bits for the flower centres and adhered a strip of pearls around the base to encase it.

Here is a list of the supplies I used.  Multiple images indicate that the stamp sets are separately listed for Wood, Clear or Photopolymer if applicable.

She loved it.

Sadly, all good things have to come to an end, and she went home yesterday with her boys so am missing them.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Top tip - banner punch

Not yet fully recovered full mobility at time of posting this, so have a series of quick top tips to fill the weekly time slots.  Please bear with me.  You can't imagine how frustrating it's been not being mobile or operating at normal speed and worst of all, not being able to get to my craft room to have a proper play!

Here's a quick tip on how I made the extra banners.

Both the Clear mount and Wood mount stamp sets have been listed,  Clicking on the images will take you directly to the item in my online store.
