Highlighting Sale-a-bration's New Releases

A little late posting today as I didn't want to ruin the surprise.  I've been busy making things to show off that gorgeous glimmer paper which is one of the new choices in this new release of Sale-a-bration product choices.

It was my open house today and I couldn't post the display until after the event.

I adore the Assorted Glimmer Paper Pack which is 6"x 6" (15.2 x 15.2 cm) with 4 sheets each of Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sugarplum.  I looked at my dies to see how many items I could cut from them and the theme of this display was all about the glimmer.  Surprising how it makes a card "pop".  Can you guess what stamps sets and dies I used?  Here's just a few, banners, tags, balloons - list is practically endless!

I also made up the Succulent project kit - easier than I thought, and I also learnt how to make those spiral roses and was getting quite a dab hand with that hot glue gun!  You can just see it hanging on the shelf on the top left.

Unfortunately you can't see much detail in this photo.  I will share them in more detail in the coming weeks.

Time to put my feet up and have a well earned rest and a cuppa!

Happy stampin'

New Sale-a-bration Items!!!

Woo-hoo!  More choices added to our 2017 Sale-a-bration range available from today until 31 March 2017 - but there's a catch - only while stocks last, so if you've got your eye on something, get it sooner rather than later!

Glimmer paper to die for in Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum.  An assortment pack measuring  6" x 6" (15.2 cm x 15.2 cm) sheets - 12 in a pack.  So you can see, I've been using it judiciously so I can get as much mileage from it as possible!

There are also two stamp sets, but as I'm having a mid-Sale-a-bration event to show case the new release products and some of the gorgeous stash I have from the Spring/Summer catty this coming Sunday, 26 February, from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm,  I don't want to put any spoilers online at present. You can see the new second release flyer here .  There is also a link in the right hand side bar.

If you're local to me in Fleet, Hampshire, and would like to pop along, email me elaine.harding@googlemail.com and I'll send you the details of the venue.

Happy Sunday!

Hi All!  What kind of week have you had?  Mine's been a bit of a mixed bag.  Highlight of the week (long story short), the kitchen has had a face lift due to a manufacturing fault way back in 2009, which caused the vinyl wrap on our kitchen units to become unstuck or "blown".  The company were very apologetic - and gave us a huge discount to replace all the doors and drawer fronts at cost and it just goes to show what a horrendous mark up there is on kitchens when you walk into their showroom for the first time!  I chose white again, because I like the crisp, easy to clean look.

The bummer was losing our internet!  Fine when you have it, but darn frustrating when you don't!   I've been busy preparing for a new release Sale-a-bration event next Sunday and have finally got my goodies out to properly play, so watch this space!!!

Speaking of Sale-a-bration, here's a technique called spotlighting which I used on the Inside the Lines Designer Series paper which coordinates with the Dragonflies & Dreams bundle  (page 26 in the Spring/Summer catalogue).

Spotlighting means you highlight just an area of your project and I've framed it by die cutting with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and layering circle dies then added a linen thread bow.

Thanks for visiting today and I'll be back next Wednesday with a video tute.

Fun Friday - Everyday Hero

Heroes or Heroines?  Well, for this week's Fun Friday I chose a Heroine, although the stamp set says Everyday Hero in the generic sense - my hero is my Mum because my late Dad left this mortal coil way back in 2009.  An unsung heroine, she sacrificed much to give us girls the opportunities she never had, which included all the extra curricular activities we enjoyed, French/German tuition, ballet lessons, piano lessons, the list is endless during our stint in the Far East.  French and German she felt were languages taught in Australian schools and she didn't want me to be at a disadvantage when she packed me off to boarding school.  Enough of my waffle - enjoy the video.

Here's what I used: -

Everyday Hero Photopolymer Stamp Set
Delightful Dijon Classic Stampin' Pad
Delightful Dijon A4 Cardstock
Whisper White A4 Thick Cardstock
Whisper White A4 Card Stock
Melon Mambo A4 Card Stock
Watercolor Pencils
Blender Pens
2-1/2" Circle Punch
2" Circle Punch
1" Circle Punch
Classic Label Punch
Gold Glimmer Paper

Custom Tee - Bride to Be

As promised on Sunday, a more detailed look at the Custom Tee Bundle.  This set tickled me pink because it's got the "happy stamper" and a "Bride-to-be| sentiment in it.  I don't know many people who are getting hitched as I'm not exactly in my first flush of youth and my peer group are already married, or widowed.  However, I'm sure there are lots of youngsters out there who NEED this stamp!

I also love the different types of Tees.  The elements to add a tie, braces or a collar for him and even prettier ones for her.  Even better, there is a stamp set in the Sale-a-bration brochure which is FREE with a qualifying order and it coordinates beautifully with this bundle!  I love it!

Please note that the Designer Tee Clear Mount Stamp set is a Sale-a-bration set which is FREE subject to a qualifying purchase of £45 or more up excluding shipping/handling until 31 March 2017.
