Bloomin' with Beauty

Two posts in one day! I've been meaning to photograph this, so since I had the "studio" set up for the other card, I thought I may as well take this photo and post it as well.

This is a bought card blank, pre-embossed and ready to embellish. I stamped the image with versamark and applied SU pastels with a cotton ball. I'm no gardener, but they look like hydrangeas and sometimes they appear blue and lilac which this technique succeeded in portraying. The thing I like about the pastels is that it has practically the whole colour range SU offers. If you haven't got all the ink pads, the pastels set fits your needs if you're ever stuck for a colour.

I matted the stamped image onto Not Quite Navy card stock, distressed sides and used the Ovals All for the sentiment.  The background paper on the upper half of card is Junior Varsity DSP.
