I've been having problems taking pictures of my double page layouts in the light box, so my latest trick is to lay it on the floor and pray that the sun comes out so that there is sufficient light to take one! Only snag is that it casts a shadow from the patio doors! In a bid to use up all the papers in my current stash, here is the double page layout the Scrapbook Sisters made in June with Summer as its theme. We used "Just Add Cake" dsp to punch out the pennants with the pennant builder punch. One of the designs actually resembled a foolscap page which I die cut with the top note die for some journaling. In the bottom right corner, we stamped the bicycle from Pedal Presents (new Hostess set) and punched mountains of flowers in co-ordinating colours with the itty bitty punch set which we scattered and glued to the bottom of the layout.
We used the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die to cut our butterflies which were then partially embossed with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. To simulate the antennae on the butterflies, we tied some baker's twine round the bodies, knotted the top end.
For the third page, I used the Mouthwatering stamp set to make the ice lollies, watermelon and ice-cream cones. The "SUMMER" letters are from the Letter It set. These were inked individually, stamped and cut out then adhered to the page. The card stock used is Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and some Sweet Shop designer paper was added to make the page pop. I picked out the colours from the DSP for stamping our images. I stamped the spatter pattern (from French Foliage) in Wisteria Wonder first before adding all the other layers to give it a more vintage feel.
