MDS Monday

It's been a while since I've worked with MDS.  As I write this, I have no stamps, glue or any other "stuff" with me to create a project for a blog post!   What better discipline this is to go down the digital route!

My son and his partner recently attended a wedding and the official photographer on hand took this snapshot of them so I had to capture it somehow.  I elected to do an A4 size page which I could print off at home. Keeping in mind as to how much ink it would devour in the printing, I kept my background page as Whisper White.

You'll notice that the items I used are from the 2014 Sale-a-bration range and that's the beauty of MDS - you will never run out of the paper, embellishments even after the promotion has finished!

The digital kit I used was Pinwheels on Parade.

Inspiration Station Finale!

Today, I will be homeward bound.  I hope you've enjoyed my scheduled posts.  This is the last one in the series and I'm a little sad that it's over.....but hey I get to play with lots of new stuff soon so I'm excited about that!  For my faithful followers - you will probably have guessed what I'm talking about (read big cheesy grin!)

There have been tons of these tag topper closure cards, and I thought I'd mix it up a bit.  Most people opt for a symmetrical look, but I just positioned the tag topper punch along the edge of the card instead of in the middle to get this effect.  It meant I could stamp both top and bottom so you could espy what had been stamped on the inside of the card.  For the closure, I made a buckle to slide the ribbon through.

You can see it better in this picture.

I used the Fresh Prints paper stack to jazz up the card - I am being brave and am trying to use the papers instead of hoarding them!  (Read stroking lovingly)   ;-)

Gorgeous Grunge

Isn't it amazing how the common denominator - Peachy Keen stamp set - has so many possibilities as I've shown in the last run of posts.  We're almost at the end.  I enjoyed making these for our quarterly team meeting's Inspiration Station.   You can use the heart stamp on its own - I stamped two and covered one in heat and stick and dazzling diamonds to ring the changes.  The arrow was cut in half  and "extended" to make it look longer than it actually is!

Gorgeous Grunge stamp set is an old favourite of mine.  I've used it on so many things.   Love the simplicity of this card.  All done in a flash!

Here are the supplies I used - click on the pictures to go directly to my online store.

Wednesday's Workshop Wow - A Round Array

Thank you Pinterest - I can't remember who dreamt this up, but she did hers with Bakers Twine. Here's my take on it. The one I created on the video tute is the one on the easel.  The other two are bonus cards using different embellies.  Hope you like it.

Enjoy the video.

Shake! Shake! Shake! with Just Sayin'

For my Sunday share, here's a shaker card using elements on the Just Sayin' bundle (stamp set and Word Bubbles framelits).

My colour combo was Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White and Baked Brown Sugar i.e., picking up the colours in the Retro Fresh DSP.

I used the fringe scissors to make my confetti  sprinkles and  cut out various shaped word bubbles to put inside my shaker.  The inner frame was cut out of coaster board using the square framelit dies and I covered this in Retro Fresh DSP to create a bit more depth in the shaker for more movement.
