The Reveal

Today is my Open House preview day for the new 2014-15 Stampin' Up! Catalogue and I can now reveal the whole of  the sneak peek I posted on Friday.

I am so excited to be able to share this with my customers.  Club members and Hostesses receive a complimentary copy of the catalogue, so if you want to join my Card Club or book a party, get in touch with me here .   I am based in Fleet, Hampshire.

Watch out for details on a class on how to make this block card along with some other fun folds.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Inspiring Inkin' Annual Catalogue 2014-2015 Launch Blog Hop

Hi there!  Today is the much anticipated Inspiring Inkin'  Blog Hop showcasing products in the new annual catalogue.   You must have arrived from my lovely team mate Jessie's blog - aren't her projects just amazing? To all my regular visitors and those of you visiting for the very first time on this blog hop, a very warm welcome!

For first time visitors, I do weekly video tutorials on a Wednesday and post 3 to 4 times a week and you can also find me - Stampwithelaine.com on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.   When you finish reading the post, you will find the InLinkz list at the very end.

I must say that this is the best laid out catalogue we've ever had and we are only days away from the catty going live on July 1st!    My preview event is tomorrow, so I've chosen a small selection to show case today as I don't want to ruin the surprise for tomorrow.

My offering is this little baby shower gift ensemble.    The bag is big enough to contain a small item of clothing like baby vests or bibs with a card and mini album to go inside too.

We always have a complete new range of Designer Series Paper each Stampin' Up! year.  I made a gift bag with the new  Lullaby DSP, combining some of last year's In Colors (Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe) - with this year's new Hello Honey.     We have new stitched satin ribbon to match the 2014-16 In Colors and I used Hello Honey for the handles.   See the pram in the bottom right? - It wobbles!  You can interact with it - I made my own spring to attach to the back of the pram.

I did the same for the toy and the duck on this fun fold flat block card. This is the "Something for Baby" Bundle which you can find in the "Baby" section of the new catalogue.  It means you can save 15% by buying both the stamp set and coordinating framelit dies together.

There are new File Tabs dies, which include the numbers 1, 2 & 3 and these products triggered the idea of building blocks.  I even made some 3D booties to sit on the middle step!

Here is the album - made out of one sheet of 12" x 12" card stock in Baked Brown Sugar.  I stamped and die cut the baby vest and then adhered it to the belly band.  The coat hanger was strategically glued so that when you pop the belly band back on, it looks as though the baby vest is hanging on the hanger!

Inside the mini album, are card inserts for capturing baby's first moments front and back.  The labels were from Project Life Cards & Labels dies and I used the Project Life corner rounder too on all the card inserts.

Enjoy the journey - if you come back to me, it means you've gone the complete circle. Hope you liked my projects and  thanks for visiting.   Now hop over to  the next one on the list and see what lovely creations they have made.  Feel free to leave a comment - I would love your feedback!

As the blog hop has finished, I am no longer connected to InLinkz, however you can still "hop" to all those who took part by clicking on their names which will take you directly to the blog hop post on their respective blogs rather than just to their blogs.  If it's just the blog hop posts you'd like to access, then just click the back button to return here and work down the list from here.  Happy hopping, and thanks for stopping by.

Fancy a Sneak Peek?

Ha!! and you thought I'd show you the whole project?  I am such a tease!  Oh no ..... you're gonna have to wait until my preview to see the whole "kerbang"!

This little portion shows the new Itty Bitty Accents - it's a trio of punches which replaced the other itty bitty punch pack, but with a star, heart and flower punch.  There is a stamp set that co-ordinates with it with lots of cool sentiments.  Versatility is the name of the game.  I love it!

Tomorrow is our team blog hop - we're a HUGE group as blog hops go - 19 blogs to visit in all!  So do pop back tomorrow, grab a chair and a nice big cuppa - if you're not a footie or tennis fan, this is a COOL way to spend your day! ;-) smile...

Must dash - still have a ton of stuff to do for the big event on Sunday - open house at mine.  I feel like a duck - calm and serene on top of the water, but paddling furiously away beneath, feet going like the clappers!

A bientot!

A Bow with the Envelop Punch Board - Really?

If you follow me on Facebook, you probably know I broke one of my studio lights!*!#!  I am waiting for a replacement bulb, so I am having to dig into my archive which has been saved for emergencies like this!

So it's a quick tip on how to make a bow using the Envelop Punch Board.  Enjoy

Do you have a favourite in 2013-14?

Today's post is a nostalgic look at the cards I made in the 2013-14 Stampin' Up! year.  These were some of my faves.

Beautifully Baroque (sniff) is retiring and the lady I made this card for passed away this April.   We had a lovely informal gathering at her church a couple of weeks ago and her daughters had her ashes scattered by the rose bush which she herself had planted.  The stretch ruffle ribbons are retiring too, so I am thankful at least that the Beautifully Baroque TIEF is carrying over.

I loved this Crazy, Mixed-Up Love set - it's been too short knowing you - I think it's great for Domestic Goddesses!

Blink and it's gone - yes Peaceful Petals which had such a short life in the Spring/Summer catalogue this season and in little more than a week, we will have to say bye-bye to this too!

The itty bitty trio of punches - I used them just about on everything - I will miss you like crazy!  I don't think I can part with you.

My list is endless!  So I better stop here...    Do you have a favourite?  What's yours?

Top Tip Window Frames Collection

Today's video is a tip on how to cut a label out of the Window Frames dies.  I always like to get the most  out of my stash and am always trying to find new ways of using the product.  Enjoy.

As promised,  here are the measurements for the widths you need  from corner to corner of Frames 2 - 6 (No.1 being the smallest and 6 being the largest) for cutting out the labels without cutting out the whole frame.  I missed out  Frame 1 as I thought it was just too small.

Frame 2:  1-11/16" (4.5 cm)
Frame 3:  2-1/8"     (5.5 cm)
Frame 4:  2-5/8"     (6.6 cm)
Frame 5:  3-1/16"   (7.8 cm)
Frame 6:  3-1/2"     (9.0 cm)

Did you want to see a card too?

I used some of the frames to frame within a frame, and if you look at the Decorative Dots embossed label, I even extended it to make a long label!    The stamp set and other items I used are retiring, except for the Big Shot and magnetic platform!  Do you remember the Decorative Dots TIEF from sale-a-bration 2014?  Good news! It's in the new catty out in less than a fortnight!!!!  There is less than 2 weeks to take advantage of the retiring list products.  Check it out before your favourites are gone for good!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the men folk out there!

A day to honour all fathers, (read husbands and sons who are dads too) those who are with us, and those who have departed from this world but who still remain very much in our hearts and will always be remembered.

With this Father's Day Card, I have mixed old with new, some are from seasonal catalogues past - can you spot what it is?  Good news is that these will be available in the new main catty!

Have a wonderful day you Dads out there!  Mine has gone awol (my husband, I hasten to add) doing what he loves best - archery and he'll come home famished, so I have planned a slap up meal to mark the day.

Enjoy the day!

Chevron Punch magic!

More magic with the Chevron Punch - we made a trellis by punching out two strips of chevrons then placed them facing in opposite directions so that you could interlock them to make a trellis!  Thank you to Charlotte from our Stampin' Up! office who gave us the inspiration!

The Soho Subway papers are retiring as are the 2012-2014 In Colors - so the Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit card stock, inks and co-ordinating satin stiched ribbon will not be available after 30 June, 2014.
The Gumball Green card stock in A4 packs are now no longer available.

Here's what I did on the flip side.  If you look very carefully, you might even espy a sneak peek of a new stamp set I used in this layout!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this has inspired you to get out your old photos and put them into a Project Life album!
