Trick or Treat

Halloween has crept up on me - how did that happen?  Just managed to make this up in the nick of time!

This is mostly from the Simply Created Kit, but I didn't follow the brief and added my own take on it. I added more doilies (the kit only supplies 4), sponged them with Elegant Eggplant and Tangelo Twist and made them into flowers instead.

I cut up the silver glimmer web too and that beaded spider using beads was a refreshing change from simply making cards!

Do you have time for more?  I couldn't not give this season's Halloween stamps an airing so here's a quick peep at what I made.

Here are the stamp sets I used.  They are listed in wood and clear mount and in some instances they are photopolymer.  Just click on the bottom right of each picture for more details - it also links directly to my online store should you wish to make a purchase for next year.

This card was a combo of Fall Fest and Merry Everything.  I used the DSP in lieu of stamping to embellish the inside.

This year's papers are adorable don't you think?  These are the papers I used:

I also made some treat boxes and a pouch using the gift card thinlits.

Here are the accessories:

At times like these, I wish my grandchildren were closer - they'll be trick and treating tonight!

Hope you like my projects.

Happy spook night!

Christmas Countdown #5 Fairy Lights

I was invited to demo at a "Wear It Pink" event, and challenged myself to do something a little different from making a card display.  I've never done anything like this before, and it was such fun and very satisfying and so pretty when finished!

What do you think - has this inspired you to make one of your own?

For All Things

I shared the marbling technique we did at card club in October a couple of weeks ago.  Here is the other card we made.  Isn't this technique cool?

As October draws to a close, autumn is round the corner!  Time is going to fast - Thanksgiving in November, and soon I'll have to turn my hand to some spooooooky cards!

Thanks for stopping by!
