Celebrate Today!

Yay!  It's the weekend - Celebrate Today!  and it happens to be the name of this stamp set too!  It has matching  Framelit dies so if you want both, they come as a bundle to save you 15 % on the purchase price. They are only available in photopolymer.

I've been itching to use the @SoSocial stampset.  With social media the buzz word of today this stamp set is so en trend!  I'm also loving the chalkboard - it makes Whisper White Craft ink pop.  I cut an aperture with the square framelits dies and layered the Soft Sky large polka dot embossed piece behind.

Here are the supplies I used.  Hover your mouse over the bottom right hand corner to see more details or just click and it will take you directly to my online store if you wish to make a purchase.  Remember to create an account with me if you haven't already, and shop away!  Don't forget, it's Sale-A-Bration, so for every £45 you spend, you'll receive a free Sale-A-bration product!

Have a great weekend!

More Tips using Laser Cuts!

Are you anything like me?  Don't you just want to get the most bang for your buck whenever you purchase something?  There are only 2 laser cuts in the embellishment kit, and it pained me to stick them down on a project and restrict its use to only 2 projects.

Last week we used it as a stencil for sponging a pattern.  Did you notice that I sponged it in Sahara Sand so it could be used afterwards to adere it to a project if you wished?  If you'd like brighter colours to sponge with, simply use the reverse side, so you still have the choice to use it as originally intended in Sahara Sand.

This week, I've used the laser cut in a different way - enjoy!

Wednesday is not only my video slot, but it's the day of the new Weekly Deals!  Check these out!  If you wish to pick up a bargain, do visit my online store.

Would you like a Gift from me?

Have you ever wondered what happens at a Stampin' Up! Party with you as a Hostess?  Invite a few of your friends and/or family over for a fun time during the day or evening - I provide the entertainment, you provide the venue.

You receive a gift from me like the one pictured in this post as a "thank you" , I demonstrate how to make a card or two, and you and your friends get to craft and you all get to keep the item you've made.  From having "tried" (the Stampin' Up! products) before you buy -  workshop sales at the  party will enable you, as the Hostess to earn rewards for a shopping spree in any of the current catalogues subject to workshop sales qualifying total before shipping/handling.

I have dates available in March.  There's no better time to book than  during Sale-A-Bration because the Hostess can earn an extra £20 Hostess Credits based on a qualifying workshop total!  I am based in Fleet, Hampshire, so if you are local to me - contact me elaine.harding@googlemail.com  to book yours.

Here are the list of supplies I used.  Hover your mouse over the bottom right corner of each image for more details, or click to take you directly to my online store should you wish to make a purchase.  Multiples of images mean that you have a choice in either wood mount, clear mount or photopolymer.

Happy stampin' and thanks for visiting!

Did you know about the Artisan Kit?

There are so many things in the Spring/Summer catalogue that sometimes little gems like this get missed!  So I've borrowed this photo from Stampin' Up! to show you what's inside the kit and that's what today's video is all about.  Hope you like it.

Special Post Today

Today is a special day for a long standing friend of mine who I first met at a Boarding school which we both attended in Perth, Australia many moons ago. We also discovered that both our families were domiciled in Hong Kong for many years and where our paths crossed once again after we left school.

Long story short, she retired to Italy to her family home where she now currently resides and has at last been able to pursue her lifelong dream to become an author.  Today Siobhan Bland Daiko is holding an online launch party for her latest publication titled  "The Orchid Tree" set against the backdrop of Hong Kong where she spent a considerable part of her life.  I can't wait to read it!

I was honoured to be commissioned to make her a box of cards as one of her prizes, so here it is in all its glory.  The flower on the front of the card is a photo of the blossom from the Bauhinia tree (also known as the Orchid Tree).  There are six cards in the boxed set. The cover of Siobhan's book is in the front insert of the DVD case which contains two each of three designs with matching envelopes.

Good luck Siobhan Bland Daiko with The Orchid Tree book launch.  I can't  wait to devour your written words within.

Happy Valentine's Day

G'day as the Aussies say - so whether you read this post, morning, noon or night, at least it will still be applicable! wink!  Happy Valentine's Day to you all.  I've scheduled this a little later than normal so hubby will get a chance to see it first before it's published!

Here's the card I made for my honey - a Valentine shaker card.  The confetti hearts were punched out with our awesome new Confetti Heart Border Punch and I love the shape of our sweetheart punch too.  Are you doing anything special today?

There's nothing I like more than cuddling up on the settee  and watching TV or buried in a good book - when you've been married as long as we have been, wining and dining out on Valentine's Day isn't high on our agenda.  We were right royally ripped off when we dined out one Valentine's Day that we swore we would never do it again.    I probably say this every year, but these great meal deals, Dining in is the new Dining Out - where you can choose a main, a side, a dessert and a bottle of plonk has become a staple in our home! It's especially true for those of you with young kids, and a shortage of babysitters, don't you think?

Anyhow - here are the supplies I used!

Whatever your plans, just enjoy today!  Thanks for stopping by!
