Spooky Cat Sneak Peek & New punches

Are you a Halloween fan?  Meet the new cat punch - not JUST for Halloween as reiterated in my video.  The other new punch is called Everyday Label punch - and it's bundled with a christmas stamp set on page 12 called Merry Little Labels.  As the catalogue is not live yet, I am unable to link to my online store.  I will amend this as soon as the catalogue goes live.

Same punches but non-Halloween - love its versatility!

Hope you like the sneak peeks - only 2 more sleeps till launch day!!!

Mixing old with new

It's so easy to be overtaken by new products that we forget the gems that have gone before.  I looked through the stamps and dies I had which would be suitable for making a wedding card for my Godson and it was fun re-tracing my steps.  I couldn't make up my mind which set to use, so ended up making a tri-fold card.

First up is the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - heavens...that's such a mouthful!  With the Autumn/Winter catalogue just round the corner it would be rude not to include one or two sneak peeks!

Can you see what it is?  Champagne foiled paper - a brushed subtle hue of gold - well actually "Champagne" describes it perfectly!

The Stitched Shapes Framelits came into play too, of course and I used the Flourish Thinlits  - the multipurpose adhesive sheets were perfect for this. Stampin' Up! used to carry this in 12"x 12" sheets. Then it was discontinued and they've brought it back, but this time it's only available in 6" x 12" sheets. The sheets have double sided stickiness, you remove one protective layer and place card stock on it then place your die on top and run it through the Big Shot.  Once it has been die cut, peel the protective backing from the remaining side and adhere it to the card stock - NO mess!!!

The "Wedding Wishes" comes from "Rose Wonder"  which I copper embossed.

I die cut the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit and adhered it to the back of the right panel.  When it is closed it sits opposite to my Godson and his wife's first name initials.

Here is the card fully open.  The centre panel is from the Floral Phrases set.  Everything was heat embossed with copper embossing powder and I used the copper trim.  It has a loose-weave which when fanned out, makes a really pretty bow.

My Godson married a Polish girl, so we were invited to attend.  We've never been to Warsaw before, and it was a good excuse to visit somewhere new and get to learn more about Polish culture.

I used the envelop punch board to customise an envelop - what else can you see?  Did you guess?  A new punch and I love the stamp set that coordinates with it.  Look closer - what else can you see?  I think these are going to fly off the shelf!!!

Happy Sunday!

Sneak Peek Painted Harvest

Hard to believe that we're approaching Autumn, and that the summer break is nearly over and the new term about to start in September.   In the Stampin' Up! year that means it's time for the new Autumn/Winter 2017 catalogue!  Want a sneak peek?  I've chosen Painted Harvest.

Now you've seen it, don't you think it's fabulous?  Not just for autumn - I think you could use it all year round, don't you think?

The supplies I used are listed below - click on the picture and it will take you directly to the item in my online store!

Pop back soon for another sneak peek next week!

More "A Little Wild"

Good Day everyone!  Last Sunday I shared the adorable pink elephant, and this week it's the sweet little honey bear's turn.  Before you ask, yes, it's from the same "A Little Wild" stamp set!

I stamped the bear on shimmery white card stock so that I could use my aqua painters on it without fear of the card stock pilling or warping.  Shimmery white, as the name suggests, is shimmery all over the whole surface of both sides (front and back) of the card stock and has a pearlescent lustre.  It is heavier in weight and more forgiving for water colouring with.

The bear, hive, bees and flowers can be die cut as separate entities.  I doubled up die cutting them so that I could glue them back to back so that it would look the same from behind where possible through the circular window.

This card was made for the proud grandparents - and it was a great opportunity to use the Beehive Dynamic TIEF to enhance the front of the card.

I'm so glad we get to use the Banners for You photo-polymer stamp set for another year.  These stamps are so useful and suits so many occasions.  That goes for the Bunch of Banners Framelits too.

As the back of the banner showed through the circular aperture, I stamped "welcome" in order to integrate it with the rest of the design.  The grass was hand drawn and coloured with Wild Wasabi marker.

Hopefully, the grand-parents loved this as much as I did making it.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for popping by today.  xxx

Masculine Cards and for a Teen! Help!

Help is at hand!  I have a grandson now in his teens.  Lego, dinosaurs and stuff just don't cut it anymore - so I was tickled pink when I discovered Stampin' Up!'s Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle and a photopolymer stamp set called "Text Ya Later" - a perfect marriage and an answer to my teenage card making prayers!

It's so current for today's youngsters - and I might add for adults too.  How many of you are glued to your phones and are never without one (except when it's charging) and how many of you have it within easy reach when you go to bed?  Do some of you take it with you when you're in the bath too? Ahem!  I cannot lie, (blushes).   Guilty as charged for all three! .....and I'm NO teenager!  lol!

So do you want to see how I made that iphone?  Roll VT !

Did you know that if you click on the pictures, it will take you direct to the item in my online store which will give you more detail on the product and you can place an order if you wish.  It would be very much appreciated.
