Christmas Countdown #9 of 12 - Snow is Glistening Gift Packaging

Life wouldn't be real if we didn't confess to coming a cropper once in a while!  There I was crafting merrily away feeling quite smug as I had the house to myself and all was quiet so I could forge ahead with some filming!

Almost at the finishing line,  I discovered that the items were different sizes and I designed the box on the first one and discovered that the other item was a tad longer!  Watch the video - epic fail!  I had to call a halt to the proceedings and hurriedly made another to fit!  LOL!  Enjoy!

Here are the supplies I used:

Happiness Surrounds & Christmas Traditions Punch Box

I'm making the most of the newly released "Happiness Surrounds" set whilst I can because it's only available until 30 November!  I  made an autumnal card with this set last week, but hit on the idea that the sentiments on this set also fitted perfectly into the Christmas Traditions Punch.

Are you always looking for ways or gift ideas as teacher gifts for the end of term, or as a stocking filler?  It's so lovely and I'm sure very much appreciated when you take the time to make a little gift which is useful and thoughtful and which need not cost the earth especially at Christmas.  This is just perfect.  In today's video I show you how to make this bespoke no-glue box to hold a few narrow note cards and envelops.  You always need cards throughout the year and Happiness Surrounds has sentiments which can be used all year round to suit any occasion!  I hope it will inspire you to make your own!

Armistice Day Centenary - Lest we forget

We will remember them............

OnStage Local

Yesterday was Stampin' Up!'s Onstage Local one day event where hundreds of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators meet up to experience first hand up and coming products soon to be launched in the new year!

At time of composing and scheduling this post, I would be en route to Birmingham's Vox Centre.

The day is jam packed with business tips, demonstrations of new products, meet and greet with other demos and "swapping".  These are usually card fronts using current products in any of the current catalogues and the whole idea of swapping is that for every card front you give away, you will get a different one back.  At the end of the day, you'll have loads of ideas to choose from when you're planning for your future events.

This year I did things a little differently and made fewer swaps, but made them as fully finished cards.  I made enough for my team with a few spare for swapping.

These are my swaps - I used Smoky Slate and Merry Merlot, and the Angel on Earth Stamp set and the tin tile dynamic embossing folder for a "grungy" look.

I like to spoil my team at these events.  There was a personalised notebook (you can get the name printed on the front), some lip balm, hand cream and nail file set, and of course a water bottle.  This is no ordinary bottle - the lid has a clever mechanism which "clocks" how much water you drink during the day!   If you look closely, I personalised it with my downline's initial.  Of course since it's made out of paper, you'd have to remove the band first before filling the bottle!

Here's a closer look at the tag I created to match the notebook!

Thanks for stopping by!   Enjoy the rest of your weekend!   I may still be on the road coming home!
