Multiple Die Cutting - Stamparatus & Picnic with You

Wouldn't it be cool to have a way to stamp and die cut a gazillion tiny elements to make up this picnic basket ?  I'm waiting with bated breath for news as to when the Stamparatus will be delivered for those of you who managed to place an order for this AMAZING tool in the first pre-order window so I thought you may want to have a heads up on a trick or two on how this tool will make your life a whole lot easier!

There is a Glad Wrap product called "Press & Seal" which will hold all your dies together so you can lift it off in a sheet in the exact position you placed them for die cutting - or you can use painter's tape to get the same effect.  Cue video to see how -

Did you know that if you click on the pictures below it will take you directly to the item in my online store which will give you more detail on the product?  You can place an order too, if you wish and it would be very much appreciated.

Forgotten gem - Mini Treat Bag Thinlits

I've forgotten about the mini treat bag dies and had so much fun re-acquainting myself with them!  Just as well the Springtime Foils were a freebie from the 2nd Sale-A-Bration release!  The foiled DSP are quite heavyweight and great for making boxes - and treat bags, of course!

They are single sided, so when cutting the treat bag you need to be aware of which way round you're cutting that extra side to complete the bag and if it's patterned, which way up the card stock should be oriented!  Yup!  Muggins made all the classic mistakes, upside down, wrong side cut but I got there in the end!

If you subscribe to my YouTube channel, you would've seen the video this Friday past.  I was winging it really, and I should have been a bit more organised!

Still - what kind of week have you had?

Having made the treat bag - I made a card to go with it.  Notice I didn't use any stamps on it except  a greeting one from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

Now ordinarily I'm not a pink girl - but with that rose gold copper foil, it needed something pink!  I added a pop of colour with the Stampin' Blends and am pleased with the results.

These Springtime Foils are to die for!  Hope you like it!

Happy Sunday!

New type of stamp Dist-INK-tive Heartfelt Blooms

The science of manufacturing rubber stamps is amazing - how do they just take a photo then transform it into a red rubber stamp which looks just like the photo?  It's beyond my comprehension, but I love the 3D dimension it gives when you stamp with it!  Stampin' Up! calls stamps like these which have different opacities Dist-INK-tive stamps - whatever the name, I love it!  The imagery "sings" and it doesn't need any "pimping" - see for yourself!  Do you agree?  Even better - it's FREE with a £45 purchase during Sale-A-Bration and once this year's SAB finishes, it will, sadly, no longer be available.

Please note that the Heartfelt Blooms and 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon pack are both Sale-A-Bration items  and not for sale.  They are part of a selection of items in the Sale-A-Bration brochure which you can earn free subject to a qualifying purchase order.

Eclectic Expressions - Stamparatus Repeat Patterns

I was really intrigued by the repeat patterns in the sample card on the new 2nd Release Sale-A-Bration  flyer and gave it a try with the stamp mounted on a clear block.  The results weren't satisfactory so I tried it with the Stamparatus.  This is how I used it to stamp repeat patterns and was pleased with how it turned out.  I hope you'll find the tips useful when your Stamparatus arrives!

Finding Inspiration!

Where do you find inspiration from?  Everyday life?  Do you see a colour scheme as you go about your daily business then  make a mental note in your sub-conscious that it could be translated into a card or 3D project?  Or do you spend an in-ordinate time surfing the net and stalk Pinterest?

When your hobby becomes a business and you have to deliver projects for classes or displays and events, I often wonder where to find inspiration from.  Sometimes it's staring you in the face and you don't even realise it!  The Stampin' Up! catalogue of course!  That's what sparked off this card - a shaker card.

I've had this suite for a while, but haven't had an opportunity to break it out of its box till now.    I didn't have any sequins to match the colours on the paper, so I simply made my own confetti using the fringe scissors (now retired) out of Marina Mist and Powder Pink card stock - these are colours used in the DSP and Stampin' Up! being Stampin' Up! everything had to coordinate, of course!

This was just one of the cards I designed for February's card club.  All the pieces to make the shaker elements were cut the same size, the DSP, window sheet and Whisper White card stock.  If you look closely, you'll also see that I used glimmer paste on the stamped cake (looks like spotted icing), and also on the window sheet.

Love it!

Please note that the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies is a Sale-A-Bration item and is FREE subject to a qualifying order of £90 excluding shipping/handling.
