Petal Passion - traditional scrapbook page

Happy Sunday dear reader!  Oh my goodness!  It's been so long since I did any scrap booking in any shape or form that I'd forgotten what a lot of joy and pleasure it brings.

I had a request to run a private class for traditional scrap booking and this is one of the designs I came up with.   It shows the Petal Passion  paper off to perfection!  My preference is for an uncluttered look and traditional scrap-booking has evolved over the years where we had very busy pages and threw everything at it bar the kitchen sink!  These days, it's about letting the photo "sing".

The black space is a mat for a 6"x 4" photo and measures 1/4" larger all round so that it creates a border for the photo.  There is plenty of white space to add some journaling.

The Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack kit is ideal to compliment traditional scrap booking as well as the more modern style of using pocket pages.  I've used one of the pre-punched elements from the card pack to use as my title "The Best That Ever Was".

Every new catalogue sees a whole new range of Designer Series Paper, so if you love the Petal Passion black and white prints which goes with absolutely ANYTHING, this is on the Last-Chance Product list while stocks last so get yours quick before it runs out!

Fruit Basket Bundle - bye, bye!

Yet another bundle which is in the last chance list.  Insert sad face here, because I think it's so cute and deserves to be loved more!

This is the strawberry one featured in today's video and I've included a couple of other samples I made so you can see how delightful they are.

I clear embossed the skins of  the watermelon on water colour paper and just filled it in with Melon Mambo ink, then lightly spritzed with water from a good 6" away to create a finer mist and blotted the excess to halt the bleed.  The sentiment was also clear embossed and to create the scalloped edge, I just punched 3/4" circles and adhered them to the bottom edge.

This was made into an anniversary card.  I was led by the sentiment "We make a great pear".  I stamped the pears first, then the wire basket on top on standard Whisper White card stock and used the scalloped tag topper punch to create the tag.  I stamped a pair of pears on Whisper White scrap in Lemon Lime Twist and Crumb Cake and punched them out, then punched another pair of pears from the Myths & Magic Glimmer paper.  I trimmed off the "stalk" and adhered it to the stamped Whisper White pair to make them pop and added adhesive backed sequins to finish.

Bag yourself this set and who knows where your creativity will take you?  I will certainly miss these!

Sunshine & Rainbows Magical Day

How can these be retiring?..........but they are, so if you love rainbows and unicorns, this is the last chance to get them as they will no longer be available after 31 May 2018!

Speaking of retiring, Soft Sky and Tempting Turquoise are leaving to make way for some exciting new colours in Stampin' Up!'s  June 2018  colour Revamp.  What does this mean?  It means the card stock, accessories, ink pads and ink refills will disappear from our new annual catalogue offering.  Insert sad face here - Soft Sky is one of my favourites!

One last video using these sets and to show you how I used the Stamparatus to help me stamp those perfect arcs and die cut them with relative ease.  Enjoy!

Don't forget that during the "Last-Chance Product" promotion, it is while stocks last - so first come first served.

Use this Host Code 3WXPGZAN for April for any purchases online from £25 to £149 to receive a gift from me.   Do not use the code if your purchase is £150 or more, as you can keep the Stampin' Rewards for yourself.

Happy shopping!

Magical Day with Brusho

Happy Sunday!  What glorius weather we've had since Wednesday - hope it lasts!  Dare we hope that spring has sprung and it's actually now our summer?

I had a Brusho class yesterday in the warm outdoors and here are a couple of cards I designed using the Magical Day Bundle - this is one of the sets that is retiring and I'm not sure I'm ready to give it up.

The Brusho crystals were sprinkled on dry water colour paper, then spritzed with water for this effect.  The water colour paper was attached to a silver glimmer  paper frame and I used the middle which would've been hidden, to good use by die cutting several stars out - if you look carefully you'll spot them.

You can see the difference when the water colour paper is wet (spritzed with water first, then Brusho crystals sprinkled on afterwards).

I have listed some of the items I used, but unfortunately cannot list the Stampin' Blends as they have been temporarily switched off to catch up with demand.
