Sneak Peek #2 Bonanza Buddies

Having a birthday in December so close to Christmas can be hard!   Some say that being born on the same day as Christ the Lord can be a blessing, but what do you tell your child if  sometimes people forget and  he or she gets a christmas gift in lieu of a birthday one.

My nephew was born on Christmas Day, and when he was young, I always sent two gifts and two cards for both occasions.

That's why I have to mark my calendar to remind myself of my BFF's grand-daughter's birthday which is a couple of days before Christmas.   Here's a sneak peek of a darling set for the little ones called Birthday Bonanza.  I fussy cut the Koalas with the hat and the one holding the balloons from the Birthday Bonanza DSP.  The Koala on his own was cut with a die from the Bonanza Dies set, and the greetings as well as the Koala for the inside of the card was stamped.

The Suite also had some pom pom embellishments, so I stuck one on the party hat that the top left Koala is wearing.

Here are the supply links.

Sneak Peek or Two? So Sentimental Bundle #1

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and had time to remember and reflect on those who weren't able to share it with us or who are angels in heaven and it is especially hard for people who have had to endure a bereavement at this time of year.  My thoughts are with you, and an extra special hug for you all.

We all need "Thank You" notes, especially at this time of the year, so here's a sneak peek at a stamp and die bundle called "So Sentimental".  It's also time for Stampin' Up!'s annual Sale-A-Bration event which happens in the first week of each new year and also a new catalogue!

The Spring/Summer catalogue has been re-branded as the January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue.  That makes sense as it's a Global company with branches from Canada, USA, to Australia, Europe and Japan so we all have different seasons and timelines.

It's been too long since I last looked at the Annual Catalogue, so I am revisiting some absolute gems like the Mood Mosaic Specialty Designer Series Papers.  How refreshing to have soft browns and yellow hues after the traditional reds and greens of Christmas!  This card was pretty easy to make - the paper said it all, and with some fancy dies, and simple stamping I was able to earn a FREE stamp set called "Thoughtful Blooms" which I used to stamp on the inside of the card.

Please note that the Thoughtful Blooms Photopolymer Stamp set is a Sale-A-Bration item which can only be earned subject to a qualifying order of £45 excluding shipping.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Merry Christmas!

No tutorial today - just a little recap of some of the projects for Christmas 2019!  Hope you're having a wonderful time with your loved ones.

Australia has a jump start on us as they're 11 hours ahead, so I rang my Mum on Christmas Eve to wish her a Merry Christmas before she went to church.

Here's one of my favourites from the snow globe series....................

and a little Christmas compilation of  some of 2019's seasonal projects!

From Our House to Yours Swaps

These are the swaps I made for our team meeting in October.  I was so excited when the Purple Posy ink pads were approved and available for sale at the end of September.   However the excitement of having the Purple Posy ink pads were short lived, and the ink pads were withdrawn from sale once more so if you love Purple Posy, then use the markers instead.

I went for a monochrome look and made these cards as swaps.  Usually, swaps are just card fronts, but card fronts are hard to display, so I went the whole hog and made proper cards instead.

I mounted the house stamp from "From Our House to Yours" on my Stamparatus acrylic plate and used the hinge technique to stamp multiples of the the house front with Purple Posy, and the roof line in Gorgeous Grape which were then fussy cut by hand and glued together.  Once assembled, I stamped the front door in Gorgeous Grape.

The trees were stamped with Winter Woods in Purple Posy, and the sentiment (From Our House to Yours) in Gorgeous Grape again using the Stamparatus.  This ensures perfect placement each time.  The assembled house was adhered with dimensionals in front of the trees on top and I added a purple rhinestone from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones for a bit of bling.

More simple stamping inside - the trees in Purple Posy to tie in with the card front, and a cluster of snowflakes to the right to balance out the overall look.

If you haven't invested in a stamp-positioning tool, consider getting Stampin' Up!'s Stamparatus.  It's an invaluable tool especially when you're making lots of the same design  i.e., for special occasions e.g., weddings, christenings, milestone birthdays, christmas cards - the list is endless!  With Christmas round the corner, you could put this item down on your wish list!

Tidings All Around Bottle Topper

Where did December go?  Only four more sleeps before Christmas Day!

Do you often give away bottles of wine or champagne at Christmas and need something to make it look pretty but isn't time consuming to make?  Well, I have a last minute project for you!

Better still, you can get 2 bottle toppers out of one A4 sheet!

Here are the supplies I used.  The 1-3/4" circle punch has retired unfortunately, but if you're like me, there are certain items I hang on to and this is one of them!
