"Heartfelt" Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day to those who are lucky enough to celebrate with their Valentine, and for those who are unable to through time, distance or location or if they're angels in heaven,  we will remember them too.

For someone who's not really into anything too saccharine,  I veered away from the reds.  Stampin' Up!'s "From My Heart Specialty Designer Series papers" with the foiled accents in Flirty Flamingo and Real Red and White are gorgeous, but it was just too high octane for me personally.

Last year I went down the route of Soft Sea Foam - that really pale green  with Basic Gray and this year I chose Seaside Spray instead.

Don't want fussy? Omit the ribbon.  I made this without the ribbon for my hubby.

The inside of the card was simply stamped with just a little cluster of hearts which were  stamped off first in Basic Gray and Seaside Spray in the corner to add a bit of interest.

Well, I had to have the heart foil tin to coordinate with the card, so I pimped the box and hid the red tin foil by wrapping Seaside Spray card stock round the side so that it would match the card.    I filled the tin with a mixture of creamy milk chocolate hearts (wrapped in gold) and some really yummy strawberry and cream flavoured ones (wrapped in silver).
